REFLECTION
Experience
While quite stressful, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. It is always a joy to draw things and try to refine my technique along the way. I will say that drawing persona 2 was quite a bad struggle and I really did not like how she turned out at first but I kept at it, redrawing her over and over again and learnt to appreciate the design. I would say that I am very proud of each of the drawings I have created for this project. I truly believe they portray the vast variety and freedom people have online and AAA and this is even more evident in our final artbook in which you can see how different and wonderful everyone's style and ideas are.
Observations
This is my first time using Adobe Photoshop to illustrate drawings so I observed a lot of differences between its software and the other program I usually use (Medibang Paint Pro). For example, Photoshop offers alignment guidelines, extended colour correction options, colour balancing, etc.
Findings
I found that personally once you stop drawing for a while, it takes quite a lot of time, energy and passion to get back into the flow of art. It will take some time but once you push past that period of no motivation, it feels almost euphoric when you finish a piece. I found that I still retained my knowledge and tactics when it came to sketching, shading and blending but I improved my colouring skills a lot. And when I look back on my previous pieces, it feels like I have gotten better at and more comfortable drawing over time so that makes me very happy. This project was a great opportunity for me to express my love for drawing and my creative thoughts once again and I hope to share it with everyone.
